I bet you thought I forgot. I did nooooot! I was out to dinner and just got home.
1. Today was a good day. I embraced the body as she is currently and went shopping for new jeans because… dun dun duuuuuun… winter is coming. Or already came. Or is here. Something. I tried on jeans from early fall 19 and hurt my own feelings. I just need to remove them from my closet. I now have 3 pairs of jeans that fit and this old body might not look the same as she used to but she’s still pretty cool and can do hard things.
2. After jeans shopping, I took Jack to go get his suit for his First Communion. He’s going to look so dapper! I really wanted him to get a navy suit but he really wanted black, so black we got. We also got his shirt and tie. I told him I got to be in charge of the shoe pick and he seemed amenable to that since I let him pick his suit. Wing tip shoes, here we come!
3. My new waist trainer came in today. This is actually not about vanity. I am not a Kardashian. I am doing a heal my core plan and this is part of the final piece. When you start the program, you measure your diastatis recti by finger width. Anything larger than 2 is DR. I haven’t had a kid in 4 years and mine was 4- one for each baby that destroyed my bodddyyy. It’s so common and most people don’t even know about it. Anyway, I’m doing a program and a waist trainer is supposed to help. I ordered 1 size up from what I was technically sized for and this baby is tight. When I went to put it on the first time, I had to lay down. And then I realized it gave me a belly button buttcrack and I was laughing so hard I thought I was going to bust a hook and eye. I will report back if this whole charade helps. I like to think it’s going to force the sides of the magnet together whether they want to or not.
